Chelsey Stromsness is Of Counsel in the Encompass E-Discovery division of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. Based in Nashville, she is an attorney with over six years of varied eDiscovery and legal experience. Her background includes staffing of managed document review and other customized attorney teams, business development and account management across a wide breadth of client industries, and operational oversight and integration of eDiscovery software for law firm and corporate clients alike. She active in the legal community and was the founder and Chapter Director for the Nashville Chapter of Women in eDiscovery.

Previous Professional Experience

  • As Associate General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Chelsey was responsible for the Staffing and Managed Review division for an early stage eDiscovery company, overseeing full-time employees and helping spearhead a partnership with Cumberland School of Law that resulted in a document review facility and curricula to train law students in eDiscovery
    • Cultivated and maintained sales-facing role for prominent litigation and large corporate clients nation-wide across a range of industries including pharmaceutical, restaurant and retail, transportation, oil and gas, and healthcare.
  • As Business Development and Placement Director for a national leader in legal staffing services , Chelsey coordinated with clients and potential clients including law firms and in-house counsel to ensure legal staffing needs were satisfied
  • While working in the legal office  of a leading transit company, Chelsey conducted federal compliance and regulatory research, corporate research and administration, addressed sales tax issues, and aided in corporate formation initiatives
